With over three decades of experience fighting – and WINNING – the toughest political and public affairs around, Flint is an expert in both the strategic design and tactical execution of a campaign plan. He has won numerous awards and accolades for his campaign management skills, including “Campaign of the Year” from the American Association of Political Consultants (AAPC), dozens of Pollies and Reed Awards, in fields as diverse as overall management, direct mail, television, digital, field programs, and public affairs advocacy.
Flint graduated from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) in Pasadena in 1989. He began his work in politics in 1988, working for then Assembly Minority Leader Pat Nolan while still in college. After 1990, he moved to Orange County and took a position with Assemblyman John Lewis before successfully managing Lewis’ campaign for State Senate in a special election. After which, he served a year of Navy Reserve duty in Dam Neck, Virginia as an Intelligence Specialist for training duty and in support of Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm.
In 1992, he returned to California to manage Curt Pringle’s successful campaign for State Assembly and took a position as Pringle’s Chief of Staff. Flint helped Pringle ascend the ranks of leadership, with him ultimately becoming Speaker of the Assembly in 1996.
Flint left legislative service after 1998 and began his full time political and public affairs consulting career. Flint has since managed hundreds of candidate, ballot measure, independent expenditure, and public affairs campaigns.
