My name is Harriet Afandi, a Certified Human Rights Consultant and CEO at Elevate Community Network CBO. I was born in Western Kenya, attended Karatina University where I graduated with a Second Class Honours Upper Division, BSc. in Project Planning and Management with additional advanced courses in Gender Studies, Policy Making and Diversity from British Council FutureLearn, Rule of Law, Peace Building, Negotiation and Cultural Synergy from USIP.
In 2024, I was awarded 100 Most Influential Young Women in Africa by Women Who Win Africa and 50 African Women in Development by Donors For Africa Foundation. Featured by BBC News, DW, Voice of America, Quoted by Forbes Africa and spotlighted as a Global Changemaker for promoting the UN SDGs through grassroots community development. My accomplishments include successful implementation of #ShiftThePower Amplify Project in Kenya by World Pulse Research and Evaluation Group and being a Published Co-author at the Award Winning Report titled 'Towards Ending OBV in Kenya’, by Nguvu Collective as The Team Lead.
