You will not meet another contractor who pushes as hard to go that extra mile for continual improvement and help every colleague make those lifelong improvements to their life and career. Over my career, I have committed myself to clear design and education. I have found myself enjoying influencing the passions of diverse people and designing a knowledge base that can make an actual change to their lives. My career path has been intentionally untraditional – striving to create speculative, agile service and lean-based design inside and outside academia. My multipotentialite background was spurred by wonderful experiences in my early career that did not limit my understanding to one area, and helped me make connections in many places — just as I hope my work will. My honours co-op BA (2002) and joint major co-op MA (first major completed 2006, upgrade to be conferred) degrees have focused on Rhetoric and Technical Communication, Computer Science, and Psychology/Cognitive Science and have built my foundations in technical education and design. My time in diverse industries, non-profits, and entrepreneurship has cemented the knowledge of what those skills need to look like in the real world. My focus is always on communicating with people where they are at that moment and using multiple skill sets to support their own agency in development and self-efficacy. I have always believed that community, connection, and agency growth can bring success to all pursuits. My recent work as an instructor and curriculum designer at Prepr and a sessional professor at Wilfrid Laurier University and Conestoga College has only served to solidify my enjoyment of education, design language, and connecting with people through communication. I look forward to the opportunity to speak with you about your project.
