Camilla Loreta is a Brazilian visual artist, filmmaker, writer, and editor based in São Paulo. With a background in Audiovisual Studies and Art History, she works across photography, cinema, and literary arts, often exploring the intersections between image and text. She has directed short films such as Clara and O Silêncio das Pedras, and has collaborated as a videomaker, editor, and portrait photographer with numerous artists, writers, and cultural institutions, including the brand Flávia Aranha, Instituto Tomie Ohtake, and Companhia das Letras.
Her photographic work often documents artistic processes and performances, while her filmmaking practice includes award-winning poetic video pieces showcased in festivals in Brazil and abroad. As a writer, she has published two books of fiction (Dia quente de inverno and Sândalo vermelho e os gatunos olhos dela) and has been featured in several anthologies. She was selected for the Words for Word program, a literary partnership between Instituto Vera Cruz and Columbia University.
