Dr. Nargis Hossain is a seasoned academic administrator and systems engineer serving as the Academic Programs Officer in the Department of Surgery at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, University at Buffalo. With over 14 years in surgical administration, she oversees strategic planning, faculty lifecycle support, and fiscal operations across State and Foundation accounts. Dr. Hossain holds a PhD in Systems Engineering from George Washington University, an MBA and dual master’s degrees in Information Security and Telecommunications from Syracuse University, and a BS in Business Administration from UB. She currently serves in a leadership role with the Association of Academic Surgical Administrators (AASA), reflecting her national impact in the field.
