David Morris is a seasoned 20-year professional with extensive government relations and emergency management experience. Having served as contractor and as a senior government official in one of the most disaster-prone cities in the world, David has become best known for his steady and calming leadership through even the most challenging situations, while still maintaining focus on humanitarian imperatives. Morris has also earned a reputation as an operational and strategic leader who isn't afraid of unconventional ideas, and works with their owners to carve a path to "yes'. No example of this is better than the Evacuspots project in New Orleans, the world's first functional integration of art and emergency management. Under David's leadership and ability to build coalitions, uniform sculptures were installed throughout the city at critical locations in the public-option evacuation plan, bringing live-saving awareness to the plan and beautifying underserved communities at the same time.
Leveraging his unique blend of emergency management expertise and political acumen to his work, David has been responsible for the successful command of high stakes missions in response to countless hurricanes, tornadoes, major special events, and the COVID-19 pandemic.
David lives in New Orleans with his family and enjoys spending time outside, wither working in the yard, walking his dog, Goose, around the neighborhood, or kayaking on Bayou St. John.More...
