Thando Mlambo is a Junior Programme Assistant at UNESCO’s Regional Office for Southern Africa, where she coordinates high-level cultural projects and manage budgets exceeding $100,000 across nine countries. She additionally possesses extensive international experience in PR and marketing, having led communications for fashion and art clients in London and Lisbon.
As the founder of the curatorial platform Dark Art Matter(s), Thando has successfully spearheaded significant creative projects, including curating the Zimbabwean national pavilion for the 2025 SA*DC Biennale.
Her strategic insight is underpinned by an MPhil from the University of Cambridge and a BA from Barnard College, where she conducted award-winning research on visual culture.
