Christiaan de Beer is a retired international banking and financial services executive, CA(SA), with senior leadership, board, and investment committee experience in Africa and the Middle East. He was Finance lead in a maiden bank rating, Reg S issue and related Investor presentations in Europe and the USA. He’s held CFO and COO roles in listed entities and served on most Executive committees in a bank, including Audit, Risk and Credit. He also served on and chaired Investment and Credit Committees for a Registered (Debt) Fund Manager.
He is currently a Tutor in Financial Management for action- learning MBA students at Business School Netherlands.
His tenure as CFO and COO in publicly listed companies has equipped him with a working understanding of corporate finance, investor relations, and risk management. He has participated in business combinations , implemented governance frameworks, and driven sustainable growth in complex regulatory environments.
Christiaan’s international exposure has enabled him to navigate diverse financial landscapes and regulatory regimes. He has led multi cultural teams and collaborated with subsidiaries as Group CFO of a MENA based listed bank. He has obviously led and managed statutory audits and reviews with 2 of the Big 4 Public Auditing firms for a MENA lsited bank with multiple geography subsidiaries
His contributions to investment committees have been instrumental in guiding credit in stressed environments.
When younger he was co-founder of an IT company in the Asset and Liability Management space which was later acquired by a listed software group.
He has also participated in numerous public speaking presentations including quarterly earnings releases, dedicated investors and analysts presentations and headed up an award winning Investor Relations team in MENA.More...
