As the Software Engineering Manager, my job is to guide our development teams towards our company goals. This means making sure we’re all working together effectively, using the right engineering practices, and staying on track with our plans. In collaboration with product managers we set targets for the team, help everyone stick to our agile methods, and support their growth with regular feedback and training.
My responsibilties also include finding the right people when we need them, and helping them get settled in. A big part of my role is making sure the team is happy and productive. This includes managing their schedules, like vacations and sick days, and having regular one-on-one meetings to check on their progress and how they’re feeling about their work.
My background in QA Engineering means I’m all about making sure we do things right and keep our standards high. I use this experience to help the team work better and to create an environment where we’re all learning and improving.
