Courtney Baker, Marketing Manager at CommonWell, is responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives to promote and raise awareness of the Alliance.
Courtney began her career in healthcare by working full-time doing medical credentialing while attending Michigan State University. After graduating, Courtney transitioned to the Business Administrator for the credentialing company under their owner, Medical Advantage Group.
Courtney’s career transitioned to health information technology just a few years after her graduate program with Michigan Health Information Network (MiHIN), where she played a pivotal role in the expansion of the marketing and brand awareness of MiHIN and its subsequent subsidiaries, Velatura and Interoperability Institute. During her role there, she was Director of Marketing and launched a new brand identity for MiHIN, while also establishing the brand for five other subsidiaries, launched a newsletter, social media platforms, and lead the annual Connecting Michigan for Health Conference. She also sat on several internal teams such as People & Culture, Business Management Team, Product Strategy, and the Agile Team.
Courtney received her Master of Arts from Gonzaga University in Communications and Leadership and a Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University.
Courtney lives in Ionia, Michigan with her husband, four children, 3 dogs, 6 cats and spends her evenings and weekends tending to their 60 acres of wooded property and doing photography. She also enjoys cooking, singing, and blogging in her spare time.More...
