Tahiya Islam is a development professional, educator, and social impact leader with over seven years of experience designing and leading education, gender equity, and climate action initiatives in Bangladesh and globally. She is the Founder and Vice Chairman of Aim Initiative Foundation, a registered nonprofit operating Aim School in Meradiya, Dhaka, providing free education, healthcare awareness, and leadership development to underprivileged children.
She currently serves as Country Manager, Bangladesh at HerWILL, a global nonprofit headquartered in Atlanta, USA, advancing women’s participation in STEM, AI, and data-driven careers across multiple countries. Her work aligns closely with UN SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), and SDG 13 (Climate Action), with a strong focus on inclusive technology ecosystems and ethical AI access.
A Teach For Bangladesh alumna and certified UN Global Schools Program Advocate, Tahiya has led climate education pilots, mentored youth leaders, developed STEAM and leadership curricula, and contributed to ESG-aligned partnerships with academia, corporates, and international institutions.
