I am Breidy Fabián Barbosa Chacón, a Senior Non-Commissioned Officer (Suboficial Superior) in the Colombian Marine Corps, with over 15 years of active service since my enlistment on December 10, 2010. Currently, I serve as a Platoon Replacement in the Bravo Marine Infantry Company, an elite unit specializing in amphibious and riverine operations along Colombia's Caribbean and Pacific coasts.
Throughout my career, I have held various leadership and training positions in key Marine Corps units, including the Fluvial Infantry Battalion No. 50, the Center for Training and Peacekeeping Operations, and the Amphibious Instruction and Training Center. My academic background includes a degree in Business Administration from Politécnico Grancolombiano (2019) and a technical diploma in Administrative Management from SENA (2019). Additionally, I have completed specialized courses in military parachuting, AutoCAD, maintenance, and training in human rights and international humanitarian law.
I have been selected for various study commissions abroad, including in the United States and Canada, focusing on areas such as recruitment administration, vehicle maintenance, and English language training. My exemplary performance has been recognized with multiple commendations, including the "Jineta de Buena Conducta" five times and the "Presidential Citation for Military and Police Victory" in 2016.
