I'm Regina Gaysina, a municipal finance professional with over a decade of experience in public finance and a deep commitment to advancing diversity in the investment management industry. Most recently, I served as Director in Municipal Finance Investment Banking at RBC Capital Markets, where I led more than 500 transactions totaling over $4 billion in par amount. I worked closely with over 50 clients across New Mexico, managing complex bond financings across sectors like education, utilities, energy, transportation, and housing. One of the highlights of my career was leading the first Climate Bond Certified Green Bond transaction in the state. I consistently exceeded revenue targets and built processes to expand and retain our client base. In 2020, I co-founded the Collaborative WIM Global Alliance—a nonprofit that now spans over 100 CFA Societies and 70,000+ members globally. Our mission is to elevate women of all backgrounds in investment management through programming, strategic partnerships, and a community-driven approach. I focus on outreach, stakeholder engagement, and governance, and have helped secure support from major institutions like Morgan Stanley and Rothschild & Co. Earlier in my career, I held roles as an investment analyst and internal sales consultant, where I built and managed investment models, supported advisor relationships, and provided due diligence across various financial products. I earned my MBA in Finance from the University of New Mexico with a 3.95 GPA and a BA in International Relations and German from Ural State University in Russia. I’m currently a CFA Level II candidate and was honored with the Bond Buyer Rising Star Award in 2023. In addition to my day-to-day work, I’ve served on several boards and DEI-focused committees, including the CFA Institute's Gender Diversity Subcommittee.More...
