Lilia Benbelaïd (born in 1991) is French-Algerian and has lived and worked in Beirut since 2019. Trained as an architect, she created an initial series of urban landscape sketches illustrating the Shatila refugee camp, which she exhibited in Lebanon and France. She then combined her graphic research with the creation of Farasheh, a landscape and environmental project located in Shatila and supported by the Fondation de France.
