Victória dos Santos is a filmmaker and model born in Porto Alegre, Brazil, from a Black matriarchal family. She is the CEO & Founder of Universo HUP, a production company focused on elevating Black and Brown narratives in audiovisual media. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Film from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), where she was active in the student council and co-founded the feminist collective Misanfeme. In 2017, she directed the award-winning short film Fragmentos, recognized at festivals in the U.S., Nigeria, and Brazil. Winner of the Cultural Merit Award through the Paulo Gustavo Law in 2023, she is currently developing the essay documentary Rosto da Pátria, supported by the Swiss Gwäertler Grant.
