Markeshia Gorden Hines is an accomplished theatre professional, educator, and creative entrepreneur with over a decade of experience in acting, directing, and producing for both stage and screen. She holds an MFA in Acting for Film from the New York Film Academy and a BA in Theatre from Florida A&M University, where she also minored in Humanities.
Markeshia has contributed to major networks such as Disney, HBO, and NBC Universal, and her work has been featured in USA Today, Detroit Free Press, and Tallahassee Woman Magazine. As the founder of MLG Productions, she has written, produced, and directed over 20 original stage plays, with 10 sold-out productions under her belt. Her unique voice blends faith, culture, and community, using theatre as a tool for empowerment, healing, and education.
In academia, Markeshia has taught a wide range of courses—from Acting for the Camera to Scene Study and Business of Acting—and is known for her student-centered, industry-informed approach.
