Dr. Cambron is an experienced educator, program designer/evaluator, trainer, content developer, and organizational climate consultant. Dr. Cambron spent 20 years in higher education as a tenured full professor, ultimately serving as the Chair of the School of Social Work at Spalding University, where she led the creation of a Doctorate in Social Work degree program focusing on the decolonization of education and leadership. She serves on numerous boards/advisory groups, including the Juvenile Justice Advisory Council for Jefferson County, the Office for Safe and Healthy Neighborhoods, and the Restorative Justice Kentucky Advisory Board.
After leaving academia in 2022, Dr. Cambron has devoted herself fully to using her experience and practice wisdom to support the work of regional and national organizations/projects including the Black Wellness Matters Project at the Muhammad Ali Center, the Health Science Center at the University of Louisville Medical School, Volunteers of America Mid-States, the Kentucky Department for Public Health and Jefferson County Public Schools.
