Joshua Stevens is the founder of Cafe Cultura, a specialty coffee brand he launched in 2004 after relocating from Santa Barbara, California to Florianópolis, Brazil. With a deep passion for coffee and hospitality, Joshua built Cafe Cultura from a single café into a successful franchise network of over 40 locations across Brazil.
He plays a hands-on role in the business, sourcing green coffee directly from Brazilian growers and personally roasting beans for the entire franchise. Beyond operations, Joshua is committed to coffee education, leading workshops and lectures to spread knowledge and appreciation for specialty coffee.
Driven by a love for cooking, community, and innovation, he’s always exploring ways to enhance the coffee experience—most recently through initiatives like Circuito de Café, an interactive in-store journey from seed to cup, and the launch of new products like cold brew.
