Sr. Manager, Creative Archetype
As Sr. Manager- Creative Archetype, Armando supports, manages & creates curriculum in service of Big Thought’s Creator Archetype Pathways. This intentional skills development supports our youth as they step into the 21st Century Global Workplace with experiential learning, asset building, and exploration of opportunities where their skill sets would be vital. Armando has managed and supported various credentialing programs across the Programs Division, fosters relationships with external stakeholders for the digital credentialing of these pathways, supervises, supports & manages credentialing pilot programs, and works with pathways partners to raise Big Thought’s Creator Archetype skills development and badging to industry standards.
Armando has worked as an advocate for Youth, Education and Leadership in the DFW area for the past twenty-two years. He incorporates his skills as a 16-year classroom educator, artist, mentor, curriculum designer, and program creator to all Big Thought projects. His diverse experiences include living and traveling the world as an Army brat, teaching for Dallas ISD and Arlington Classics Academy, mentoring at risk youth in after-school programming, administrating after-school academic, mentoring, and Arts programs, mentoring student teachers from area universities, teaching adult citizenship night classes, and creating district curriculum for writing initiatives. Armando utilizes his Master of Arts in Educational Innovation, from St. Edward’s University, to work with partners to facilitate innovative ways to create experiential skills development that will help our Big Thought Youth advocate for their definition of “best life” and step into Self-Authorship.More...
