Rafael is CEO of Beratung EIRL a company that offers professional services for value creation. He leads a tourism and production cluster, in addition to providing advisory and consulting services to public entities, private sector organizations, and international cooperation agencies, responsibilities he shares with university teaching.
He was Administrative and Financial Director of the National Competitiveness Council, where he was in charge of the finance, accounting, administrative, purchasing and contracting, logistics, human resources, and general services departments.
For 7 years he directed the sustainability and corporate social responsibility strategy of a major multinational agro-industrial group. He led a private equity foundation focused on social and economic development, was in charge of strategy, planning, design, fundraising, and execution of social programs and projects, an entrepreneurship incubator, educational and sports programs in the most vulnerable communities across three provinces of the Dominican Republic, and secured major partnerships with international cooperation organizations, research and development, among others.
He has launched several ventures, including a risk advisory and insurance brokerage firm, a strategic communications and marketing consultancy, and an import-export company with a presence in Germany, Spain, Mexico, Angola, and the Dominican Republic. He has taught various courses as a lecturer in the International Business program at Ibero-American University (UNIBE) and Florida International University (FIU).
Rafael holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a postgraduate degree in Finance from PUCMM, a Master’s in Marketing and Commercial Management from the Centro de Estudios Financieros CEF in Madrid, and a MBA with a concentration in International Business and Business Economics from the University of Alcalá, Spain.More...
