In the 1980s, he enrolled in an industrial design course. His dream was to enter the world of product development. However, at that time, American products and European design were much more valued in Brazil. He changed his focus and graduated in Multimedia Design Technology. For a long time, he worked in several companies as a designer until he got his own agency. That's when the experience he had acquired back then came to the fore. At the request of a client, he was tasked with recreating a 19th-century French cutlery set. The piece was a classic stainless steel flatware set with a natural bamboo handle. He enjoyed and succeeded in completing this task so much that, at the client's request, he decided to open a studio to produce these cutlery.
