Susan Tolmay is a South African feminist and human rights activist committed to social, political, economic, and environmental justice, with over 20 years of experience working on women and human rights in regional and international NGOs.
I am a researcher, writer and editor and have conducted research and written extensively on women’s representation and participation in political decision-making and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) across the SADC region.
As a gender specialist, I have provided technical assistance on gender integration to organisations, including mainstream NGOs and Foundations, such as the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) and WaterAid Southern Africa and West Africa Regional Offices.
