I’ve been doing IT work most of my working life. I co-developed, maintained and improved a school MS Access database for over 10 years. I ran workshops for other educators to use MS PowerPoint as a quiz system. I co-organised workshops and made help videos for educators to answer International practical IT exam papers. I lead a team that made a CGI video using 3D Studio Max. Personally, I tend to use Agile methodology in my development when I’m the only one responsible for the whole program or module. As a team project, we tend to use scrum with two-days sprints. During my
time at NEC APAC, even though I was a Support Engineer, I was tasked with several development
projects. Now, as a full-fledged software engineer, I practice what I once preached to my students. Having an assigned role in a s/w team, doing scrum meetings, following good s/w practices and using well-proven s/w tools, are totally different from teaching IT, but is what I strive to excel myself at.More...
