My skill sets are primarily in solar design, engineering and consulting. My design packages are in residential, commercial, industrial and utility scale. I think I’ve seen every AHJ correction that could be thrown back at a solar permitting application, and I’m well versed at mitigating such corrections. My consulting specialty is in construction management, with a strong skillset in dealing with building departments, planning and zoning officials, engineers, architects, as well as prime and sub contractors and suppliers. Very strong writing skills. On most projects, I typically put on my tool belt and run circles around the other team members, with a primary objective in setting a good example to build a culture among the installation crew that includes a sense of project ownership, pride and overall safety. I currently hold a CA solar contractors license C46 and I'm currently preparing for obtaining my Electrical Lic. I also have extensive experience in grading and excavating as well as welding, CAD drafting and anything mechanical. If a piece of equipment on a job won't start or function, I'm usually the one to get it started or convey the issue to the service technician.
When a company hires me they are essentially hiring a group of solar construction professionals with well over 100 years of combined experience. This is all made possible as I evaluate project challenges and strategies, then by direct calls and video conferencing, we're able to determine all the possibilities including professional advice on how to solve a myriad of construction challenges, such as issues with approvals, updates and signatures from AHJ's, engineers, special inspectors, and sub contractor discrepancies.More...
