Joel Yates is a fourth-generation San Franciscan whose journey has been one of self-discovery and artistic documentation of the world around him. As a Lead Artist with the Skywatchers ensemble, he collaborates within a collective voice to create meaningful, socially engaged work. A multidisciplinary artist, Joel utilizes acting, movement, oratory, poetry, and storytelling to foster connection and challenge limiting perspectives. Most recently, he has expanded his artistic repertoire by incorporating song into his ensemble performances, further enriching his creative expression.
