Successfully performed the triage and standup of new systems with migration of 2,500 mailboxes in less than 96 hours with less than 60 minutes of down time for the most critical Presidential staff. • Team lead on the design and deploy of the US Department of Health and Human Services Enterprise Email System (HHS EES). Involved in the design through standup process. The system serves 120,000+ accounts. Key roles include Active Directory design and deployment, Senior Exchange Engineer, ISA server design & integration, Sybari Antigen deployment, Tumbleweed (anti-spam) deployment, OWA server farm design & integration, RSA SecureID integration and BlackBerry design and integration. Integral in certification and accreditation process including security validation of all Exchange components. • Hired and managed 14 Microsoft Solutions Specialist supporting the HHS EES contract. Responsibilities included managing SLAs from outside providers including ISPs, hardware and applications vendors as well as internal business units providing support services to the contract. • Team lead for a Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint and Office Communications Server pilot at the City and County of San Francisco. The pilot includes 200 users being migrated from Lotus Notes to Exchange 2007 with SharePoint Services 2007 for Notes application migrations. • Designed new Exchange 2007 infrastructure along with migration plan from Lotus Notes for 25,000 mailboxes at Armstrong Flooring Industries.

Upgraded existing AD to Windows 2003 in January 2004. • Implemented clustering technologies utilizing Windows 2000 Advanced Server and Storage Area Network for file and print services as well as Exchange 2000 services for corporate email and SQL 2000 database services. Currently migrating to Exchange 2003 running on Windows 2003 Enterprise cluster. • Established relationship with Dell Computers to replace existing white box servers with PowerEdge servers and PowerVault storage solutions as well as replace white box workstations and laptops with Dell OptiPlex workstations and Latitude Notebooks. Also worked with Dell to achieve licensing compliance with all software vendors by while lowering the companies TCO. • Converted seven branch offices from isolated peer-to-peer networks to join the corporate Active Directory network with the implementation of a frame-relay network allowing for collaboration never before experienced within the company. Frame-relay network was also utilized to centralize the company’s internet access. • Utilized NEC IVS PBX system with Gateway/Branch units to implement VoIP for interoffice voice communications saving the company over $20,000/year in reoccurring and long distance charges. • Within 18 months was able to save the company 48% of its annual telecomm expenditures through centralization and renegotiation of telecomm contracts while increasing the networks redundancy from a single point of failure to three levels of redundancy.
