As product specialist on DVB/DAVIC technology led a pre-sale support function driving technical responses to RFQs. • Played a leading role in the cooperation between the European Cable operators’ consortium ECCA and the DVB/DAVIC Interoperability Consortium in the definition of the Euro modem requirements. • Represented the company within the RCCL working-group of the DVB (Digital Video Broadcast) international standardization body providing several contributions for the definition of the technical specifications of the return channel communication on Cable and LMDS networks. • Managed product transition to Cisco working very close with company management and integration team.

The activity, aiming at the deployment of fast Internet services on broadband HFC networks, involved the evaluation of a number of systems from multiple vendors through protocol analysis, network dimensioning, laboratory tests and field trials. • Managed Cable Telephony trial testing of an OFDM based cable telephony system on Telecom Italia’s HFC and switched circuits telephony networks. Coordinated a demonstration of the multi-service capability of the HFC infrastructure, with digital video, telephony and broadband data transmission for triple-play residential services. • Developed a software simulator for HFC networks. The work included theoretical analysis on non-linear behavior of HFC networks components, network’s devices modeling, devices and system measurements.

The work, conducted within the European project BISIA (Broadband Interactive Systems on Integrated Access) involved high-level digital circuits design using state of the art FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) technology, low-pass filter, power conversion and Intermediate Frequency analog circuit as well as complete PCB design and testing. • The Digital Modulator was a key component of the Video on Demand (VoD) demonstration at TeleDanmark's offices in Aarhus (DK) and is currently part of the company's product portfolio.

Established worldwide footprint by inserting highly scalable private CDN architecture in a number of Tier 1 Cable and Telco Service Providers accounts. • Direct hands-on experience in post-merger activities to drive the integration of both the technology and resources acquired through the Arroyo acquisition into the Video Content and Platforms BU. This included selecting Server Appliance EOM Partner to migrate CDS applications to a Cisco HW platform, establishing BU best practices in product lifecycle processes (Business Commit, Execution Commit, Validation, Go-to-Market and General Availability) and educating field and customers on benefits of CDS next generation On-Demand architecture.
