Intch Case Study: How We Grew 50x in 12 Months by Hiring the Right Expert

I’ll share how we leveraged Intch to achieve 50x growth in just 12 months.

My name is Yakov, and I’m the CEO at Intch. While companies often share their clients’ success stories, we are active users of our own service, so I’m excited to share our story with you.

Starting Point

At the end of 2023, we had a functional product and a loyal audience, but our organic growth was quite slow.

We attempted to launch advertising campaigns several times, primarily on our own. My reasoning was straightforward: to launch a Facebook ad, you just click the ‘Next’ button ten times and upload your creative assets.

I figured if I could build my first startup (sailplay.com) and sell it, then surely, I could manage advertising as well.

 

After a few attempts, I realized my mistake. Being proficient in product development doesn’t mean I know how to run profitable ads.

Finding a Marketer

I posted a part-time job on Intch.

Several people responded, and we engaged with them by asking for an audit of our advertising.

Chat with a potential Candidate

We spoke with several candidates and chose two specialists:

  1. one from a large startup (valued at $3B),
  2. and another who had launched Facebook Paid Ads for startups from scratch.

At the time, we couldn’t afford a full-time hire. Additionally, the experts we wanted weren’t looking to work in a small startup. However, they were open to working with us part-time for about 25% of their full-time salary. This was ideal for us because:

a) We could afford two experts
b) We didn’t have enough work to justify a full-time position

Important to note: the professionals we hired aren’t found on sites like Upwork or Freelancer, as they don’t register there, preferring not short gigs but rather part-time projects lasting 3-6 months.

This is precisely the kind of talent we gather at Intch.

Results

  1. We’re experiencing significant growth, and one of the two experts is now working with us full-time.
  2. Through this experiment, I learned the difference between amateur and professional ad campaigns: effective advertising requires extensive experience and expertise without which you’re simply wasting money.
