Dec. 2016 - Nov. 2017Andhra Pradesh, IndiaThe University of California, Berkeley Initiative know as "Scalable Smart Villages" is collaborative project by ‘The Garwood Center for Corporate Innovation at the Haas School of Business UC,B and the ‘Government of Andhra Pradesh, India’ has signed a MoU for scalable as Smart Villages. We are supported by the Governments for running the operations and executing the objectives. This fellowship is offered by GCCI under the Executive Directorship of Professor Solomon Darwin. The aim of the University project is to establish a holistic business and social platform to empower residents through technological tools, training and resources that will enable villagers to manage and create value for their own villages.. • Created business model solutions using Open Innovation for AI, IoT, edge computing, blockchain, etc. for companies and startups.
• Developed research-based proposals with corporate executives for state governments Andhra and Meghalaya.
• Contributing as a ground man for Prof. Henry Chesbrough in two published Harvard Cases on Business Models for Smart Village.
• Consulted product teams attempting to enter growth markets through a Co-Innovation analysis of the end-consumer experience.
• Tailored rural Initiatives for start-ups in energy grid localization, agriculture, water grid management, 3D mapping, logistics, etc. • Implemented Open Innovation strategies and concepts developed at UC Berkeley into pilot projects to tests market viability.
• Developed corporate ecosystems by connecting firms and startups to create affordable value propositions to rural populations.
• Organised and operated the Open Innovation Conference-India chaired by the Hon. CM of Andhra Pradesh for over 80 MNCs and startups.
• Supported a white paper on Open Innovation Agri-Ecosystems to reduce suicides in Andhra Pradesh surveying 10,000 farmers. • Collaborated with product teams from Google, Salesforce, Ericsson, IBM, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, Johnson Controls, and many others..
