Grapevine is a top tier Wasp servicing large bluechip companies like Investec, Edcon, Momentum and Truworths to name a few. My role here was to build Grapevine's brand presence in the digital world and to get more involved in sponsorship where we could raise awareness for our brand. It was a building block to my career and I definitely learnt a lot that I can take with me further. I formed great relationships within the company, some of them lifelong friendships. Duties
-Press releases, copyrighting and communication for mobile messaging and mobile advertising divisions. -Managing website content and traffic – Google analytics and Social Media (Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn). We added 1 to 2 press releases per month to keep traffic constant. We had an average of 20 – 50 new visits per day.
-Commercial Operations Assistant on new company website. www.grapevinegroup.co.za overseeing copy, articles, website banners and flow of website.
-Sponsorship for our e-mail partner Silverpop and Internet Solutions, our mobile carrier partner.
-On New product development team for mobile messaging. -Delegate commercial requirement designs to designer/developer teams for mobi site demos, E-mail silverpop demos and marketing media packs.
-Management and sourcing of company events and conferences e.g.: speaker slots at Internetix, Mobile Web Africa and Mobile Entertainment Africa events and help organise end of year function for our company of 70 members.
-Brand custodian on new brand wallet for the Grapevine Group and overseeing print and design for business cards and product brochures.
-Competitor analysis and proposing new growth strategy and opportunity for account managers.
-Liaising with marketing publications/sponsorship and putting together advertising content and articles. Eg. of publications: The Annual and Marketing Mix.
