HCI was a leading provider of occupational instruction in the hospitality industry, and I ultimately managed the records and training of over 200,00 classroom students and elearning to over 100,000 students per year through our own infrastructure. We developed many of our own solutions internally as there are few off-the-shelf applications designed for this industry that scale. I also assisted the VP of Sales & Marketing with business development. Some things I've done in this position include building systems capable of capturing, archiving, organizing and providing customer access to over 1,000,000 paper documents a year; developing a secure information products delivery mechanism; building an internal virtualized SOA ESB cloud for integrating off-the-shelf CRM, LMS and BI systems with internally developed applications; process automation affecting the entire organization; implementing self-service customer service via an extensive internally-developed customer portal with data management and reporting capabilities, and developing ancillary information products around this portal; implementing support for mobile devices and specialized platforms and services; and implementing a SCORM 2004-compliant elearning and online assessment platform.
