Stefan Mirkovic currently holds the position of Senior Software Engineer and Technical Consultant at AxonIQ. Prior to joining AxonIQ, he was involved as a Senior Software Engineer and Technical Lead on various eGovernment projects at Nortal. In his earlier career, Stefan worked as a Tech Lead and Senior Software Engineer on an internal project for Backbase. He also contributed as a Senior Backend Developer to projects for clients such as HiscoxUK, Hiscox USA, Cofunds, Breez, Mosaic, and Degroof. Previously, he served as a teaching assistant at Metropolitan University in Belgrade, Serbia. He completed his Master of Science in Software Engineering at Metropolitan University with a first-class grade. Stefan also worked as a software developer on the EU-funded project ISUM (Information System of the University Metropolitan). Stefan has actively participated in a range of software development and research projects, including Mechatronics - pneumatic system, the German Chamber of Commerce "Koblenz," software development for parsing external financial data and report generation at Delta Motors BMW, StudyDesk eLearning system, innovative hardware support (multi-touch table), and the development of information systems for Clinics DOOC and Favero. His expertise and primary research interests encompass distributed systems, scientific workflow systems, FinTech, eLearning, semantic web, neuroscience, microservices-based applications, and non-blocking architecture. Stefan's strengths include proficiency in Java, Kotlin, Axon Framework, Spring, Spring Cloud, DDD (Domain-Driven Design), CQRS (Command Query Responsibility Segregation), Event Sourcing, as well as application and system design and architecture.
