We get it – these documents can be a real head-scratcher, and it’s not right that you’d need a lawyer to figure out what you’re saying yes to when you use a website or an app. We know it’s a big issue when people aren’t sure what they’re signing up for. That’s the problem we’re here to solve. We’re committed to making it a breeze for everyone to know what they’re getting into. Our main tool for this is the Letter Grading System. It works just like your grades at school, from A to F. This system gives you a quick idea about how good or bad a company’s privacy policy is. The best part? You don’t need to be a lawyer or a privacy guru to get it – even a first-grader can understand! But that’s not all. We also craft summaries of privacy policies that are easy to read, aimed at a ninth-grade level. These summaries help you grasp what might happen to your data if you share it with the company. That way, everyone can know the ups and downs of sharing their data, no matter where they’re from or how much education they’ve had. We firmly believe that it’s crucial for you to know what you’re signing up for, what data you’re handing over, and what can happen with it. Our goal is to help people reclaim their privacy rights and create a digital world that’s fairer for all. We don’t think you should have to pay a lawyer to understand a privacy policy for a product that’s supposed to be ‘free.’ We’re doing everything we can to ensure that doesn’t have to be the case. And we believe no one should have to give up their rights just to use a website or an app. We’re pouring our energy into making a world where it’s easy to understand what you’re agreeing to, where fairness is the rule, not the exception, and where privacy is a basic right, not a luxury.
