Wave One - Global HR Back Office solution, Project Systems, Asset Accounting, P2P and Finance. JLR Testing Centre of Excellence Terms of Reference completed and submitted. HP QC Upgrade negotiated to move towards the SaaS solution with tethered IP addresses and encrypted Databases. RESPONSIBILITIES: Test Strategy and Planning.
Test Plan authoring, Test Scheduling, Business Sign-Offs.
Integration: 40 plus interfaces via ESB in each Wave (Integration testing was the primary focus for the technical test effort).
Creation of a Technical Test Team working to a standard format.
Defect Management: Defect Management processes written and agreed.
Test Tools: Procurement of 40 QC Licenses via TML India and HP. Presentation authored on the benefits of upgrade to HP QC SaaS Solution. Engagement of TTL Automation Team offshore to script certain repeatable areas in QTP.
Resource Management: Review of SAP Test resources and their engagement with Legacy resources across the globe to ensure test processes executed end to end.
Landscape: Many challenges negotiated within JLR across the Dev and QA Landscape including dual track build for Project and BAU.
Structured Testing: Working with the Test Team, Functional Consultants, Legacy, ESB and Business SME’s to design end to end scenarios for each project. Test Scenarios encompassed the full scope of the solution from Master Data Management to end to end integration with legacy and 3rd parties including Citi, Unipart, Caterpillar and JP Morgan.
Test Scope: A constantly changing solution scope including a raft of CR’s to accommodate business processes that had not originally been in scope. Audit: Worked with Internal Audit, PWC, Deloitte and KPMG on to review and approve the test methodology, coverage, evidence and defect closures.
