Cassandra began her career as an undergraduate and then registered nurse, working in the paediatric intensive care unit caring for NSWβ sickest children, before transitioning to NSW Ambulance and qualifying as a paramedic. Working across all areas of operations within NSW Ambulance, including frontline operations and control centre operations whilst achieving intensive care, extended care and control centre qualifications. Cassandra moved into redesign and transformational program management in 2015 and has since developed, led and delivered infrastructure, technology, change and organisational reform programs which recognise the frailty of health economics, the benefits of efficient operations for patients and the importance of staff engagement as implementation transforms system performance and integration. With the professionalisation and registration of paramedics in 2018, Cassandra became a dual registered practitioner, and also currently serves as the only female practitioner member of the Paramedicine Council of NSW in her second term. Cassandra is looking to expand her career and to work as broadly as possible across health, ageing and human services to improve services for patients through the strategic and coordinated delivery of transformational program management.
