As part of my day-to-day work:
• Troubleshooting the daily problems over the IT infrastructure (network connections, services, faulty
security...);
• Recognize and track all IT market news & develop strategies;
• Determine and research solution alternatives;
• Researches and evaluates hardware and software for compatibility and application;
• Managing investments and cost estimation, involved in the selection of hardware and software used in the network;
• Care of the in-house network, maintenance of the system & network performance;
• Monitor employee usage of company resources;
• Keeping training sessions for new employees;
• Fulfilling the organization's information systems requirements;
• Installing server & desktop PCs, hardware & software;
• Implementing and maintaining backup solutions (backups & archives);
• Developing and updating the company's websites;
• Brochure designs & graphics, video editing;
• Prepares and makes presentations to a variety of audiences;
• Users administration (setup and maintaining accounts in Active Directory);
• Maintenance of the security network;
• Installing/upgrading/removing software, OS (kernel patches, new device drivers), and applications;
• Preparing temperature, humidity, electrical, fire, security, wiring closet & cabling standards, UPS;
• Audits system access and usage practices, enforcing policies;
• Desktop support to computer users within the office or remote;
• Logging all IT problems and resolutions;
• Keeping an inventory of hardware and maintenance records. „The entire Information Technology department, the complete handyman, personally handling many functions that are dispersed over all IT network infrastructure.”
