CS Energy owns Callide C in a 50/50 joint venture arrangement with InterGen and was the first supercritical coal-fired power station in Australia.
The 810-megawatt (MW) Callide Power Plant (Callide C) was commissioned in 2001, doubling the generating capacity of the Callide site. My role:
- Provided strategic, tactical and operational guidance and support to the JV operator providing Operations & Maintenance services.
- Assisted with maximising commercial value of the JV operator.
- Coordinated provision of core administrative requirements and counter-party engagement strategies and relationships.
- Focused on the core objectives of safe, reliable, cost effective production of electricity and long-term management of assets and commercial agreements.
- Developed and maintained JV operator reports, management plans, standards, systems and processes.
- Owned the JV operator’s risk, compliance and continual improvement systems.
Improved JV partner relationship and enhanced communication to achieve greater asset management alignment.
