Modeled on the creator monetization model, the platform enables commerce and connects aficianados from over 90 countries and has a reach to a proxy community of 2M+ wine enthusiasts. I founded Redsip in Sep of 2016. It was my first business, and an incredible learning experience on so many fronts. It took a couple of pivots and 2 years to land our first beta. But that grit and the determination created an enormous amount of momentum for Redsip in its mission to connect everyone in the wine world. I covered all aspects of the business. I serve as our CEO and effectively our Head of Product. The hardest thing that I've overcome is to fit our technology into a cohesive larger vision that's going to allow us to go viral on a lean and tight budget. From hundreds of hypothetical experiments, I led a cross-functional team of data scientists, engineers, designers, and marketing to identify growth levers at different stages successfully. Key achievements in our journey from conception to product-market-fit, then to monetization included: - Viral factor at 1.5x in 90 days from the beta launch, and user invitations generated 1.5M unique visitors;
