(1993 to 2004), a Seoul, Korea based garment supplier to the US market with manufacturing facilities in Korea, El Salvador, Guatemala and Vietnam. I was stationed at a shirt manufacturing facility in El Salvador with over 1,400 workers. Responsible for communications and public relations with customers, office supervision, company relations with local authorities (customs, banks, lawyers, government, etc…) and handling of factory information in general: export documentation, production tracking, inventory, etc. Conducted direct negotiations with companies such as JC Penney, Levi Strauss, Dillard’s amongst others. Jaime was also responsible for all information and computer systems in the company (hardware and software) Jaime has acquired experience in different aspects of textile factory workings in Central America, from Free Trade Zone and Customs Laws, to Labor Laws, to Quota regulations and others in the legal framework, to transportation logistics, EDI communications, inventories, production and international quality standards. His responsibilities have included insuring compliance with Human Rights and Health/Safety requirements by local authorities and customers. Jaime was the first person hired by Lindotex/Beautec to set up their factory in El Salvador in 1993.
