I'm a Machine Learning Engineer at Medibio. I work closely with physicians & psychiatrists to design test and implement software to help understand psychiatric conditions through (large, unstructured, high-frequency) physiological data. I have experience designing, implementing & productionizing ML software & scalable product architectures. I am committed to upholding excellent engineering & code standards in all my efforts. I travel frequently but am primarily based between London & Cape Town. I have worked as a data scientist/ML engineer/data engineer for 5+ years. I have a strong mathematical, statistical & computing theoretical background, and am deadicated to becoming a great software engineer. Skills: Python, C++, Machine Learning, AWS, Google Cloud Console (GCS), Cloud Computing, Docker, Kubernetes, Swarm, AI, MLOps, Data Engineering, R I hold an MSc in (Computational) Statistics from UCT. I've taken graduate-level courses in Statistics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics & Cognitive Science. In my Master's thesis, I used Bayesian Reinforcement Learning to model the latent cognitive processes during (human) learning (MSc archival repo). I also hold a bachelor's degree in Statistics and Finance. Both my MSc & BS were passed with distinction.
