Cyrus Engerer is an outgoing Member of the European Parliament (MEP) representing Malta. He served on several committees, including the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs; Environment and Public Health committee, the Committee on Energy, Research and Industry, as well as the Committee on Constitutional Affairs. Engerer is also a member of the delegation for relations with the Mashreq Countries and the Korean Peninsula. His work focuses on advocating for environmental legislation, human rights, equality, and civil liberties. Prior to his current role, he held positions in the Maltese government and was an active campaigner for LGBTQ+ rights.

Duties included creating the initial website concept, strategic planning, finding sponsors, managing a newsroom of 10 editors, as well as planning and implementing the website’s marketing strategy. The final results achieved were coverage of over 40 international events per year, as well as 30,000 daily individual visitors, increasing by another 100,000 per day, during main events’ weeks, 70% of which were Maltese.
