I am an Electronics and Telecommunications Engineer with 32 years of experience in the mobile telecommunications industry, having built my entire career at Vodafone Portugal since 1993. My professional journey has been shaped by long-term contributions to the Network Operations Department, complemented by a two-year period in the Quality Department between 2018 and 2020. A pivotal moment in my career came in 2002, when I completed a postgraduate program in Databases and Online Services. My final project, an Oracle-based web application for network performance visualization, was adopted by Vodafone as the company’s primary performance monitoring tool. Since then, I have been responsible for its continuous development, optimization, and strategic evolution. In July 2020, I led the full migration of this platform, comprising roughly 3,000 reports, to Oracle APEX. The project was completed in under a year, and I served as product owner throughout the process. This role allowed me to combine technical depth with leadership, stakeholder engagement, and long-term product vision, and it remains one of the most rewarding achievements of my career. I am passionate about leveraging technology to improve efficiency, streamline processes, and deliver high‑value solutions. Colleagues and stakeholders consistently recognize me for my creativity, productivity, and ability to transform complex requirements into practical, scalable systems. As I conclude my tenure at Vodafone on May 31st, I am seeking a new professional challenge where my experience, technical expertise, and seniority can create meaningful impact. I am particularly interested in transitioning from telecommunications to a completely different sector, where I believe my background in data, systems, and product ownership can contribute to innovation and operational excellence.
