MagicBus Tours Ltd.🎿 Ski Tour Guide & Travel Coordinator
Nov. 2000 - Apr. 2004Alberta, CanadaThis role was a defining chapter in my early career, combining my passion for Canada’s natural beauty with hands-on experience in tourism operations, client engagement, and destination storytelling. Under the leadership of Magicbus Founder Bruce Perry, I developed a strong foundation in business development, travel coordination, and guest experience while building a wide-ranging network in the tourism sector. I gained deep knowledge of Western Canada’s premier ski destinations and a lasting commitment to protecting our winters. In this dual-role position, I led full coach ski and snowboard tours (often 50+ guests per trip) while also managing in office travel coordination. I worked closely with guests to design seamless, high-value experiences often for corporate, school, and family groups—ensuring every detail reflected the quality, warmth, and uniqueness of Canadian travel. Canada’s breathtaking landscapes, world-class resorts, and welcoming communities made these tours especially memorable for international guests. Sharing the richness of our destinations, from the Rockies to hidden alpine gems, was both a privilege and a powerful introduction to destination stewardship and tourism excellence. Key Highlights:
- Hosted and guided ski tours, ensuring guest safety, comfort, and memorable experiences from departure to return
- Coordinated all aspects of guest travel, including transportation, accommodations, check in, lift tickets, and special requests
- Developed strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills, valuable in both domestic and international tourism contexts
- Delivered personalized client engagement by phone, and in person, helping guests select and prepare for their ideal trip
- Maintained booking and payment systems, managed guest communications, and ensured operational accuracy
- Represented MagicBus at industry trade shows and supported marketing efforts to promote Canadian winter tourism
