Managed project for selling airtime electronically through banks at 50% cost saving As founding project manager, I was instrumental in the setting up of Project Management Office (PMO) at Econet Zimbabwe. Successfully managed the following projects to launch:
A US$3m hardware upgrade for the Econet Mobile Money System (EcoCash)
Managed System development and product launch for EcoSure, a mobile based funeral cover product.
Launched EcoCash$ave, a savings product accessible via mobile phone. The product has revolutionalised the financial inclusion landscape for Zimbabwe with over 1.5m account holders.
Managed the Telecommunications technical partner sub-project for the 20th Session of the UNWTO GENERAL ASSEMBLY. Victoria Falls achieved cyber-town status as a result.
Registered 4.5m Econet Subscribers in compliance with regulatory within 9 months. We retained our market share as a result.
Initiated project to rebrand TN Bank as Steward Bank before handing over to a junior colleague who I continue to assist.
