The Audio Visual and Multimedia Engineer will set up, configure, operate, and maintain audio visual hardware and software used to support mobile computing and multimedia events such as Digital Video Conferences (DVCs), Town Halls, VIP visit streams and presentations. Mobile computing equipment will include, but not be limited to, mobile phones, tablets and laptops and multimedia equipment will include, but not be limited to, cameras, microphones, video recorders, video matrices, projectors, Smart Boards, controllers, amplifiers, lighting, and sound mixing equipment. The engineer is responsible for preparing, storing and disseminating schematic drawing and SOPs for all the solutions implemented in conference rooms for easier troubleshooting and standardization. Overseeing the installation and configuration of equipment and training of personnel in its use. Also responsible for all connections of the audio visual and multimedia equipment to communications networks such as Dedicated Internet Networks (DINs), the OpenNet networks. Other responsibilities include administering and monitoring the Haivision Video distribution system to manage, share, and deliver secure communications, real-time video feeds, and IPTV as well as official cable/satellite TV systems, satellite installations and video displays across the Mission and official residences. Responsible for advising, designing and ensuring proper implementation of Audio Visual solutions in conference rooms under the management of other agencies (USAID, MRU, CDC) at the mission. Daily customer interaction and managing the CIS myServices ticket queue.
