I am an experienced General Manager with a strong formative safety engineering background equipped with a positive can-do attitude and developed into a highly efficient leader. Registered with the Engineering Council as a European Ingenieur I am a Chartered Engineer and Chartered Marine Engineer. I am an elected Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and a serving member of the Institution’s Council. These registrations are the consolidated result of many years of knowledge and experience gained from service with the Royal Navy; senior positions in precision engineering & manufacturing, engineering construction, new company and product development. This former career experience has resulted in a valuable and exceptional senior team player with a proven ability to lead multi-disciplined teams of up to 40 people on complex projects of both short and long term duration. I have a well developed history of project and safety management working from project inception to fruition and also on in-progress projects where a dynamic uptake has been crucial to ongoing development and success. I have contributed valuable experience to multi-million pound contracts and projects the outcome being increased levels of corporate and personal accountability, responsibility and a motivation to achieve increasingly higher aspirational goals.
