I am retired from my last position of Director of Flight Safety for the Eastern Caribbean Civil Aviation Authority. With over 30 years of experience in aviation safety, maintenance oversight, and regulatory compliance across the Caribbean, I offer a proven track record of leadership in aviation management, certification, and international regulatory harmonization. I am the CEO of my company SD Aviation Services Limited, which I started after I retired. As Founder and CEO of SD Aviation Services Limited, I currently lead a consultancy that supports operators and regulators in achieving compliance with ICAO, FAA, and EASA standards. My previous role as Director of Flight Safety at ECCAA involved direct oversight of airworthiness functions, including aircraft accident investigations, safety audits, and the implementation of regional safety programs. I have led initiatives that strengthened regulatory frameworks, streamlined certification processes, and enhanced cross-border collaboration among participating OECS states. My qualifications include a BA in Business Management (Distinction) and a Technician Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, supported by specialized training in Aircraft Accident Investigation, SAFA Ramp Inspection, and Dangerous Goods handling. I am well-versed in managing technical teams consisting of Pilots, Engineers, Aviation Licensing, and administration staff. I conducted operational audits and ensured compliance with evolving safety protocols in the aviation industry.
