In the last few years I have managed 2 start-ups as an operations manager. One start-up was an integrative medicine company, where I helped shape the strategic foundation of the company by developing its vision, mission, ethics, and overall business plan. My role also included conducting in-depth research on alternative therapies and updated medical practices, analyzing the market and patient acquisition opportunities, and helping build the systems, SOPs, and platform needed to support growth. In addition, I organized educational materials for patients, facilitated online meetings between patients, therapists, and doctors, and prepared conference papers and presentations for international alternative medicine events. In my other operations experience, I supported the full operational flow of an education-based organization by managing teachers, employees, and contractors from recruitment and on-boarding through training, coordination, and performance follow-up. My responsibilities also included drafting contracts, agreements, and SOP´s; organizing classes and communication with parents and guardians; and coordinating closely with accounting, lawyers, payroll, and external partners to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. In addition, I helped implement new systems, maintained website and platform coordination, and kept communication clear and deadlines on track across multiple teams.
