Prior to my current role, I served as the General Manager at Route2Fruit, where I oversaw key trade lanes for air and sea, managed daily logistical operations, and facilitated exports to the Middle East and China. Despite the unfortunate liquidation of the company, my leadership was integral in managing all aspects of the supply chain efficiently. Before joining Route2Fruit, I played a pivotal role in establishing and launching Vrugteboom in South Africa as the Logistics Manager, following a successful stint at Vrugteboom International in the Netherlands. These experiences have equipped me with a diverse skill set, including strategic planning, team management, and stakeholder relations across global markets. Furthermore, my background as a professional cricket player instilled in me the values of discipline, perseverance, and teamwork, which have been invaluable assets in my corporate career. I have consistently demonstrated my ability to adapt to new challenges, think critically, and collaborate effectively with diverse teams. My diverse roles have provided me with extensive expertise across various domains, including but not limited to procurement, RFQ processes, pricing strategies, nurturing client and service provider relationships, as well as driving product and solution development across diverse industries. Additionally, I have honed skills in budget management, profitability analysis, competitor assessment, international liaison, and team leadership. I am a very driven individual that is dedicated and honest that enables me to build positive and long-lasting relationships with work colleagues, clients and service providers.
