World Bank GroupTransport Specialist
Jul. 2025Nigeria, AbujaAs a Transport Specialist at the World Bank based in Abuja, I provide operational, technical, and advisory support across Nigeria’s transport portfolio, with a focus on project preparation, implementation support, institutional reforms, and results reporting. I work across the full project cycle—from upstream diagnostics and design to supervision, problem‑solving, and completion—ensuring alignment with World Bank standards and country priorities.
A core part of my role involves supporting the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP) and its Scale‑Up (RAAMP‑SU), where I help track implementation progress across multiple states, identify delivery bottlenecks (procurement, contract management, safeguards, and institutional capacity), and support corrective actions to improve performance and disbursement. I also contribute to the project’s institutional reform agenda, supporting states to establish and operationalize State Road Funds (SRFs) and Rural Access Road Agencies (RARAs) to ensure long‑term sustainability of road assets.
I support the adoption of evidence‑based asset management approaches, including road inventory, condition surveys, prioritization, and routine maintenance planning, to strengthen maintenance programming and protect capital investments. I also contribute to the preparation and positioning of RAAMP‑SU, including integration of road safety, climate resilience, and reform readiness requirements.
In parallel, I support the development of the National Urban Mobility Program (NUMP), contributing to program architecture, stakeholder engagement, and preparation of briefing materials linked to national consultations. Across all assignments, I draft and quality‑assure key operational deliverables—such as mission documentation, technical notes, presentations, and management briefs—and work closely with government counterparts, consultants, and Bank teams to translate technical analysis into clear, actionable guidance.
